Like other Spanish towns, it has many fiestas and festivals throughout the year, Rojales is a municipality in the Valencian Community Spain Located in the province of Alicante, in the region of Vega Baja del Segura on the banks of the river, which crosses the traditional town centre for two kilometres on its last stretch before flowing into the Mediterranean, a fact which justifies the existence of an ashlar bridge built in the time of King Carlos III in the 18th century, magnificently preserved and fully in use. Nowadays, it is a municipality with a strong increase in service sector activities, but which conserves all its charm. It has a very important cultural activity around its numerous museums (Archaeological, Orchard Museum, Easter and EcoMuseum), and theatre, home of the National Competition of Lullabies and Carols, one of the longest running and most important in the country. At the same time, a great deal of work has been done to rehabilitate the Barrio de las Cuevas, which is now a habitat for craftsmen. The existence of several veteran residential urbanisations has given rise to important population groups from other European countries, the majority of whom are English and German. Rojales has the La Marquesa golf course, one of the oldest in the province.

It has 15,978 inhabitants, most of whom live in Cuidad Quesada. Rojales is the second Spanish municipality with the highest percentage of foreigners, who make up 71,75 % of the registered population. As a consequence English is the most spoken language in the municipality.
