Ciudad Quesada´s High Street Improvements

If you have been along Ciudad Quesada´s high street recently, you would have seen the major works currently in progress. The inconvenience has put a strain on local businesses and those accessing the main street via a one way system since January. So what is going on?

The bustling high street has been congested for some time with the current parking design and is soon to be changed to a wider road with parallel parking along one side, improved widened pavements for pedestrians, new LED street lighting and upgraded drainage.

The project, which should be complete by Summer 2020, affects the main entrance to Ciudad Quesada from the arches to the junction of Avenida Costa Azul and Calle Blanca where a new roundabout is planned.

There are a number of under-used car parking sites off of the high street, so there shouldn´t be a lack of parking with this new design coming into force. However, once the project is finished, the town councillors will be able to identify where improvements can be made in parking and traffic flow, should it be necessary.

We are very positive that it will end up being a great improvement for the ever so popular Town of Ciudad Quesada.
