Brexit Oh Brexit !
Next week Teresa May is to trigger Article 50 to start the process of negotiations to remove Britain from the European Union, whatever your view on Brexit, the process of entanglement from the European institutions will take an enormous degree of diplomacy, time and effort irrespective of whether the outcome is favourable or otherwise for the U.K.
Brexit has raised questions over citizens' rights to remain in the country in which they are domiciled, whether they are European Citizens living in the U.K or British citizens living in Europe, Donald Tusk has made it clear that this issue needs to be clarified quickly and that he is keen to protect the rights of British citizens living in Europe and European citizens living in Britain. It is clear that any other outcome would not be in the interest of either side. When all is said and done, the posturing is over and the dust has settled we should take strength from the knowledge that in the time of General Franco before Spain's entry into the European Union, many thousands of people came to Spain, bought property, lived in peace and harmony, integrated into the community and enjoyed their new relaxed way of life.
There's Nothing New Under the Sun.
