Orihuela Medieval Market 2018 Friday 2nd- Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th Febuary
One of the most anticipated events of the year in Orihuela, the Medieval Market, will be held 2nd, 3rd and 4 February.
One of the largest in Spain.The market will be as big and as popular as ever with two distinctly differing atmospheric areas of interest; the Arabic/ Moorish Zone and the Christian Zone. Both are filled with fascinating stalls artistic events and daily parades, street artists and performers,snake charmers,dromedary and donkey rides as well as a vast array of stalls selling all manner of artisan, handicraft items.There are traditional sweet and savory foods,cheeses, cured meats and sausages to sample and buy. Blacksmiths working producing various artifacts, Bakers baking bread in wood fired ovens, Enjoy mint tea and hand made assorted Moroccan sweetmeats, Tuck in to a vast assortment of freshly wood fire cooked roasted hog and beef,chicken,juicy sausages,tasty Paella or from the imaginative selection of vegetarian dishes. Wines, beers are there to be tasted and bought. The whole town centre if filled with a lively authentic feel of the medieval past.
