Four Star Nielson Resort Now Open in Los Urrutias

The Fuertes Group, a subsidiary of the food company El Pozo, inaugurated last night in the town of Los Urrutias (Cartagena) the Perla de Levante resort, which has involved an investment of 15 million euros. The hotel will be managed by the British group Neilson, under the brand: Mar Menor Beachclub, which will be its first establishment in Spain.

The complex, located in front of the Mar Menor, in Calle Río de Avilés, has an area of 40,000 square meters, and has 150 rooms that will accommodate 400 tourists enthusiastic about water sports. It is estimated that this year will register about 6,600 guests.

The resort has had an investment of about 15 million euros from the company Profusa, belonging to the Fuertes Group, and will generate 100 jobs directly.

In addition to this one in Murcia, Neilson has establishments in six other European countries such as France, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Andorra or Greece, where it offers accommodation for mountain tourism or water sports.

The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, the deputy mayor, Noelia Arroyo, the second deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, accompanied by the Councillor delegate for Tourism, Cristina Pérez, the Councillor for Citizen Security, Public Roads and Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, the Acting Councillor for Tourism, Míriam Guardiola, the president of the Fuertes Group, Tomás Fuertes, and the manager of Profusa, Laura Fuertes, among other authorities.
